Welcome to the official home of the Sarasota Sky Pilots Disc Golf Club. Founded in 1993 and established in 1994. The Sarasota based not for profit organization is a volunteer driven, community active disc golf club open to all ages and skill levels. At more than 560 members the Sky Pilots are the largest disc golf club in the Southeast United Sates. The SSP general membership elects a five position Board of Directors for a one-year volunteer term and the BoD oversees all club activities and events.

The Sarasota Sky Pilots host weekly league events including handicap play (singles) and Sunday doubles. The Sky Pilots run two PDGA sanctioned events each year in May. We host many fun, beginner friendly events throughout the year designed for all ages and skill levels. We are currently developing a program for kids and have previously conducted clinics and demonstrations. We also organize several annual fundraiser events for local non-profit organizations including All Faiths Food Bank, the Racing Dog Rescue Project and Efest Florida.

The Sarasota Sky Pilots partner with several organizations including Sarasota County Parks and Recreation, City of Sarasota, and Keep Sarasota County Beautiful to conduct quarterly workdays at both area courses, Lakeview Park and North Water Tower Park. We've also worked with the Sarasota Bay Estuary Program and Bay Buddies to remove the invasive air potato vine from North Water Tower Park.

Founding member Jim Widick, SSP #1, who passed away in March of 2009, served as the clubs first President. He was integral in establishing relations with City and County officials, his efforts lead to the installation of the first permanent disc golf course in Sarasota. Thank you Jim for your diligence, dedication and vision.
